Residents around Northwest Indiana know that Munster’s National Night Out events are top notch. It takes an involved community, dedicated first responders as well as enthusiastic volunteers and municipal staff. So it should be no surprise that the NNO of 2023 was honored once again. This year, Munster was ranked 5th in the US in Munster’s population category (15,000-50,000 people). Munster was the only community in Indiana among the top ranked communities in 2023.
The 28th annual event included a community parade, free swimming, games, emergency vehicles, K-9 demonstrations, barrel car train rides and a night capped off with a firework display. Attendees also had the chance to visit over 130 booth participants. If you want to see what the event is all about, mark your calendars for the 29th annual National Night Out in August 2024.
