Munster’s trend of new and varied food options seems to be continuing into 2024. In the last few months we’ve seen Rosebud and Covo both delight on the south side of town and Unbeatable Eatables serve up savory sandwiches on Ridge Road. Now a new genre of food is being served just a few doors down from Unbeatable Eatables and OMG Pastries.

Tea+Poke is located in Ridgewood Plaza on the corner of Manor and Broadmoor.
Tea+Poke is an independent eatery serving up poke bowls, boba tea and more in Ridgewood Plaza. Owners Shannon and Carmen Hogan have been welcoming customers with fresh and colorful dishes for the past two weeks and are currently operating in somewhat of a soft launch until their grand opening on March 2nd. The restaurant is a fast casual concept that prepares made-to-order poke bowls, rice bowls, appetizers and boba teas.

A subtly bold custom ricebowl. Customers can customize rice bowls and poke bowls or order one of Tea+Poke signature bowls.
“Carmen has created all the dishes and setup of the restaurant,” Shannon Hogan said. “She grew up in the restaurant business and has had leadership positions in many restaurants throughout her career.” The couple decided now was the right time to take their entrepreneurial skills and experience in the industry to start something new and fresh in Munster. “We want you to come in and smile” he said. “We have an upbeat vibe and food that puts you in a good mood.” The insta-worthy poke and rice bowls are a delight for the eyes as well as the taste buds.
Tea+Poke’s Grand Opening event will take place on March 2nd starting at 10am in Ridgewood Plaza on the corner of Manor and Ridge Rd. in Munster. There will be door prizes while supplies last and they will also be hosting a fundraiser for the Munster Fire Department. Contact Tea+Poke for complete details.
