Munster Chamber Hosts Small Business Workshop

Now more than ever, it’s important to make sure local businesses thrive in the communities that they serve. The Munster Chamber of Commerce is providing an opportunity for small businesses and start-ups to learn about funding opportunities to forward new plans or grow a segment of their business.

On Wednesday, March 6th, the Munster Chamber is partnering with the Indiana Small Business Development Center to host a session which will inform attendees on best practices for grants and alternative sources of funding.  The event is free and open to all who would like to attend.

Lorri Feldt, Regional Director of the ISBDC and Julia Plumb, Business Advisor at the ISBDC will be on hand to present options and answer questions from the audience. Members of the Munster Chamber of Commerce will also be on hand to talk about their small business initiatives.

Evan Sylvester, Munster Chamber Board Member, says that this workshop is just the first session planned for the year from the Munster Chamber of Commerce, which is refocusing on small business initiatives.  “We’ve received feedback from our members that they would like more information and guidance for small businesses in Munster,” Sylvester said. “Hosting these workshops is just one idea that our Small Business Development Committee has proposed and we were able to put into action relatively quickly.”

The Small Business Workshop will take place at the Town Hall on Wednesday, March 6th from 9-10am.
