Humane Indiana is participating in NBCUniversal Local’s nationwide pet adoption and donation initiative – which has helped more than one million pets find new homes and raised millions of dollars for participating animal shelters and rescues since its 2015 inception –for its milestone 10th annual campaign on September 7, 2024.
The campaign promotes pet adoption, raises critical funds for shelters, and features reduced adoption fees for eligible pets. “We are proud to partner once again with NBC for the Clear the Shelters campaign,” said Brian Fitzpatrick, CEO, Humane Indiana. “A record number of pets were surrendered to Humane Indiana this year, and as a result we’ve hosted several similar campaigns to encourage shelter pet adoption. Our goal, always, is to clear the shelter!”
Humane Indiana’s 2024 Clear the Shelters adoption event includes waived adoption fees for selected pets, along with perks and goodies including 20% off merchandise while supplies last, access to free virtual pet training, a pet record tracking app, and access to Humane Indiana’s exclusive adopter alumni group. “As always, pets adopted from Humane Indiana are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped,” said Jessica Petalas, Senior Director, Humane Indiana. “If you are on the fence about adopting a shelter pet, now is a perfect time!”
