The rain held off for most of the activities surrounding the Independence Park Kiddie Parade this year. Over 100 Munsterites traveled the parade route led by MFD trucks. Many of the youngsters came with decorated bikes, powerwheels and wagons and the Munster Chamber of Commerce provided decorations on-site for those that wanted to add some flair. Boy Scout Troop 533 presented the raising of the flag at the conclusion of the parade while kids had snacks and parents visited with each other.
